Election in Maharashtra – This is a state in India where president rule is applicable under article 356 of the Indian constitution, the state legislature can be dismissed by the parliament. There is the number of political parties contest during the election, there are six political parties at the national level, these are BJP, BSP, CPI, INC, and NCP and there are only two parties at the state level: MNS(Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) and SHS( Shivsena). There are 288 constituencies out of which 234 for General, 29 for SC, and 25 for SC. There are 44121737 male electors, 39405601 female electors, 972 third gender electors so in total there are 83528310 electors in Maharashtra, nearly there are 91329 polling stations in Maharashtra. In 2014 Assembly election, 52691758 electors out of 83528310 have not cast their vote out. And in 2014 Assembly election result, BJP contested on 260 seats out of this they won 122 seats, Shivsena contested assembly election on 283 seats and won 63 seats and INC(India national congress) won only 42 seats out of 287 seats.
